Wapping High School Celebrates Outstanding GCSE and Vocational Results

Wapping High School is celebrating another year of exceptional academic and vocational achievement as students receive their GCSE and Level 2 qualification results today.

The school has secured another strong set of results across core subjects, with high performance in both English and Mathematics and many students securing the top Grade 9. Demonstrating exceptional academic stretch, students taking Further Mathematics – a qualification extending beyond the standard GCSE curriculum – also achieved phenomenal success, with a fantastic set of top Grade 9s.

Modern Foreign Languages delivered standout achievements this year. In Spanish, an impressive 57% of all students achieved a Grade 7 or above (equivalent to A*-A), while 100% of candidates studying Mandarin secured a Grade 8 or 9. The Humanities department also recorded excellent overall progress and high achievement across subjects.

Wapping High School’s vocational pathways continue to thrive alongside traditional academic subjects. In BTEC Health & Social Care, 67% of students earned a Merit or higher, while 30% of students taking BTEC Sport achieved a Distinction or Distinction* – reflecting the school’s commitment to broad, high-quality curriculum pathways.
