Robotics Team News
The Wapping High Robotics Team – Quantum Bots recently attended the kick off event at the American School in North West London. Leading up to the event, our team dedicated every second we had during enrichment to preparing our robot, ensuring we were ready for the challenges ahead. Excited and hopeful, we ventured into the ‘Kick Off’ event eager to showcase our efforts and gain valuable experience from other first tech challenge teams and schools.
Throughout the day we took part in numerous workshops such as outreach and coding. These workshops have inspired us to try and share our experiences and knowledge with other members of the school and hopefully even other schools near us. The coding workshop has helped us create a first draft of the code to provide a scaffolding for the future.
We also made new friends and connections with students from other schools with ice-breaker games which we will remember and cherish.
Overall this day has helped us not only meet students from different schools and share ideas and experiences but also prepare us for the great challenges ahead of us that would lead us to the scrimmage in November and the regional championships in March.
